Young Muinguilo
Muinguilo
was born in Angola and grown up in Kinshassa (Congo/Zaire)
and after his parents left Angola due to the civil war and
the political pressures. Muinguilo lived in an area called
Kisenso, a ghetto where he started his career in several
local bands. The independence of Angola and the civil war
changed his view of the world and when he discovered in the
early eighties the famous legendary reggae star from
Jamaica, Bob Marley, he decided to embrace reggae and persue
a career in reggae music.
In 2002 Muinguilo released his first album celled:
“Tomorrow It's Another Day”,
cementing his love and respect for reggae music. In 2004 he
returned fresh, matured spiritually, musically and mentally
with his second album “Tuzolana” (loving each other).
Following the success of the album,
“Tuzolana”,
Muinguilo released a video in 2006 featuring Don Korleon on
a remix of “I don't know” produced by Halfman. The video has
been airplayed on the Local televisionstation in Amsterdam (ETV)
and in Rotterdam (ETV). It was also picked up by a Belgian
tv station (Jimmy TV) and hopefully will spreading
Muinguilo's fame further into Europe. Meanwhile, back in
Angola the video was broadcasted on T.P.A. television. MTV
BASE Africa got hold of the video and started showing it to
the whole of Africa!
In 2007 Muiguilo will officially release the CD single
“I Don't Know” on
his own record label “Muinguilo Music” featuring four songs:
“I Don't Know”,
“Apara De Chorare”,
“Jah Music” and
“Dia De Alegria”.
